Let The Law of Attraction Deposit Money into Your Bank Account

The wonderful thing about your intuition is that IT is always working for you – whether you realize it or not. Without even realizing it, my cousin Bernadette* (not her real name) used The Law of Attraction to attract money into her life. About four months ago my cousin read the sentence “I am a money magnet” in a book she was reading called Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Ecker. The sentence really seemed to “click” with her; it fired up her imagination, so she mentally repeated it to herself over and over again. Why?

I just want to be able to live comfortably” she said. “I don’t mind working, but I would love to receive some extra money.

Lately, she dreamed of moving from her elegant town home into a detached single family home in Toronto. Before she did, she really wanted to pay off a small balance that she had accumulated on her credit card so that she would feel financially free. As she repeated the affirmation “I am a money magnet” she pictured money pouring from the sky directly into her bank account. In her mind there was no doubt that this would happen: she believed that once her subconscious mind accepted the sentence “I am a money magnet” as truth, IT would set about finding the ways and the means to deliver the money right to her.

For several weeks, Bernadette repeated to herself over and over again the magic phrase “I am a money magnet”, hoping for results. It didn’t take long at all. Two weeks ago, while sorting through her mail, she noticed an envelope from her bank among the pile of letters and junk mail. She assumed that it was another bank statement with a record of her monthly transactions. She opened the envelope. It read:

“According to the municipality tax billing…(you) completed payment of (your) annual property taxes. The amount from the tax account available for refund is: $486.15. We are pleased to refund this amount to you via direct deposit to your bank account.”

What do you suppose was Bernadette’s reaction to the letter? Was she instantly overjoyed with her newfound “free” money gift from the universe? Was she thrilled that she was receiving exactly what she wanted? Did she acknowledge the fact that she had sent out positive energy that helped to attract more money right back to her? Nope.

“When I saw that I had a large sum of money in my bank account which I couldn’t explain”, she said “I just assumed that the bank had made a mistake, and I decided to call them right then and there to correct it”.

When I heard my cousin say this I couldn’t believe my ears. Even though she she spent time and energy asking for what she wanted and imaging an outcome (which happened almost exactly as she had imagined), when she finally received what she wanted she didn’t connect the dots. She forgot that she had asked; she didn’t recognize that The Law of Attraction had delivered. Has this ever happened to you?
